Telecom and TowerCo of Africa (TOA) Uganda have officially opened TOA Uganda’s
new office, marking a significant step in the company’s ongoing infrastructure
and growth strategy in the country. The inauguration brought together senior
leaders including AXIAN Telecom Chairman Hassanein Hiridjee, TOA Uganda
Co-Founder Harold Luzinda, and CEO, Pramesh Ramparsad.
The
new facility is expected to enhance team operations, deepen partnerships, and
support the expansion of digital infrastructure across Uganda. Since
commissioning its first sites in 2021, TOA Uganda has grown to more than 550
sites, a development the company attributes to strong customer confidence and
the commitment of its workforce.
According
to AXIAN Telecom, the launch comes at a pivotal time following the group’s
acquisition of Wananchi Group Telecom in East Africa. The acquisition is part
of broader efforts to strengthen regional infrastructure, improve service
quality, and position Uganda as a strategic hub for digital growth.
The
visit by AXIAN Telecom’s top leadership underscored the group’s long-term
investment plans for Uganda and its commitment to supporting the country’s
digital transformation. The new office is expected to play a central role in
driving innovation, improving customer experience, and enabling sustainable
expansion in the telecom infrastructure sector.
