IGAD’s Executive Secretary, H.E. Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, has officially handed over five new vehicles to H.E. Radwan Abdillahi Bahdon, Minister of Communication in Djibouti. The vehicles are part of an investment by the African Development Bank Group under the Horn of Africa Digital Market Integration Project (HDMI).

The new vehicles are expected to support the creation of a digital postal marketplace, improve service delivery, and expand e-commerce access to remote areas. The initiative is also aimed at reinforcing Djibouti’s position as a regional logistics and digital trade hub.

The handover reflects ongoing efforts by regional and international partners to strengthen connectivity, enhance digital infrastructure, and promote inclusive economic growth across the Horn of Africa.
