Uganda’s Ministry of ICT partners with DFCU Foundation to expand digital access

The Ministry of ICT & National Guidance has signed a strategic Memorandum of Collaboration with the DFCU Foundation at the National ICT Innovation Hub, aiming to advance Uganda’s digital transformation agenda.
The
partnership focuses on expanding access to digital devices for learners,
innovators, entrepreneurs, and communities nationwide, ensuring inclusive
participation in the digital economy. Under the collaboration, the DFCU
Foundation will provide laptops pre-installed with the SOMA e-learning platform
to schools, innovation hubs, and skilling centres across the country.
The
initiative seeks to equip Ugandans with essential tools for e-learning and
digital financial management, supporting the government’s vision of a digitally
empowered society.
