SES
Satellites has announced two strategic partnerships aimed at accelerating
innovation and transforming satellite operations through collaboration with
emerging space technology companies.
The
first agreement, signed with Infinite Orbits, marks a milestone as Europe’s
first commercial deal for a geostationary satellite life-extension mission.
Under the partnership, Infinite Orbits’ Endurance spacecraft, set for launch in
2027, will perform in-orbit servicing before docking with one of SES’s
satellites to provide additional fuel and extend its operational lifespan. The
initiative is expected to enhance sustainability and resource optimization in
space operations.

In
a second partnership, SES will collaborate with Relativity Space, known for its
advanced additive manufacturing and reusable launch vehicles. By utilizing
Relativity’s Terran R rocket, SES aims to accelerate satellite deployment,
reduce launch costs, and bring new capabilities to market more rapidly to meet
evolving customer demands.

SES
CEO Adel Al-Saleh described the partnerships as a reflection of the company’s
commitment to innovation and industry transformation. He emphasized that
combining SES’s experience and global reach with the agility and creativity of
new space entrants will create powerful synergies to drive the next phase of
growth and technological advancement in the satellite industry.
