Egyptian Space Agency explores enhanced space cooperation with France

The Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA) has held high-level discussions with the French government to strengthen bilateral cooperation in space science and technology. Dr. Eng. Maged Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of EgSA, received H.E. Mr. Éric Chevallier, the French Ambassador to Cairo, and his accompanying delegation at the Agency’s headquarters on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

The meeting focused on expanding collaboration between Egypt and France in space applications, research, and technological development. Both sides explored opportunities to leverage the capabilities of EgSA, the “Nabta Playa” company, and Egypt’s technological zone to advance joint programs that support sustainable development through the use of satellite technologies.

The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to deepen Egypt–France relations in science and innovation, reinforcing both countries’ shared vision of harnessing space technology to drive socio-economic growth.
