MTN Eswatini honours Ministry of ICT

MTN Eswatini has officially honoured the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) as an esteemed partner in recognition of their shared efforts to advance digital transformation across the Kingdom of Eswatini. The event celebrated collaborative initiatives such as the flagship “Government In Your Hand” programme, which continues to bring public services closer to citizens through digital innovation.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister of ICT, Hon. Savannah Maziya, expressed her appreciation for the recognition, describing it as a testament to the power of collaboration and national progress. “Hard work, dedication, and collaboration truly bring rewards. This recognition is a milestone that reflects not just corporate achievement, but national pride,” she said.

Minister Maziya further encouraged stakeholders to join hands with government in promoting Eswatini’s talent and innovation across the continent, reaffirming that “Eswatini is not small when it comes to talent and innovation.”

The Ministry of ICT and MTN Eswatini continue to work together to drive digital inclusion, empower communities, and strengthen Eswatini’s role in the regional digital economy.

In addition to the partnership recognition, MTN Eswatini received top honours for “Best Use of Digital Platforms” and was named the Overall Winner of the MTN Group President and CEO Award for the Y’ello Care Programme, underscoring the company’s leadership in corporate social responsibility and digital innovation.
