The
Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Ms.
Doreen Bogdan-Martin has arrived in Conakry to participate in the Transform
Africa Summit (TAS) 2025, a premier continental event focused on digital
technology and innovation.
She
was warmly welcomed by Rose Pola Pricemou, Guinea’s Minister of Posts,
Telecommunications, and Digital Economy, alongside Mr. Moussa Moise Sylla,
Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Handicrafts. The reception underscored the
significance of the summit and set the stage for strategic discussions on
Africa’s digital future.

Minister
Pricemou highlighted the importance of Ms. Bogdan-Martin’s presence, noting
that it signals the start of major exchanges and key decisions aimed at
advancing digital technology across the continent. The Transform Africa Summit
2025 brings together policymakers, industry leaders, and technology innovators
to drive collaboration, strengthen digital infrastructure, and promote
sustainable digital transformation in Africa.

The
event is expected to foster partnerships, policy dialogue, and initiatives that
will shape the future of connectivity, digital governance, and innovation in
the region.
