Cassava
Technologies is charting a new course for Africa’s digital transformation with
major announcements at AfricaCom 2025. Founder and Executive Chairman, Strive
Masiyiwa, revealed the company’s latest strategic partnerships and milestones
aimed at positioning Africa as a leader in artificial intelligence innovation.

Mr.
Masiyiwa announced that Cassava Technologies has become Africa’s firts NVIDIA Cloud
Partner (NCP), marking a significant leap in the continent’s technological
capacity. The company will deploy NVIDIA GPUs across five sites, creating the
infrastructure needed to power AI-driven research, innovation, and enterprise
applications across Africa.
In
addition to the NVIDIA partnership, Masiyiwa highlighted Cassava’s
collaborations with global technology leaders such as Google and Anthropic,
designed to make advanced AI tools accessible to African developers, startups,
and enterprises. These collaborations will support the creation of solutions
tailored to Africa’s industries, from agriculture and healthcare to finance and
education.
“Our
goal is to ensure that Africa doesn’t just consume innovation but creates it,” Masiyiwa stated. “By building
strong partnerships and investing in AI infrastructure, we are laying the
foundation for an AI-powered Africa capable of shaping its own digital
destiny.”
