The
15th session of the African Regulators Council (CAR-15) under the Smart Africa
initiative is underway at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Conakry, bringing together
representatives from 17 countries both in person and online. The meeting runs
alongside the Transform Africa Summit 2025.

The
session gathers Presidents and Directors General of National Telecommunications
Regulatory Authorities, along with industry experts, institutional partners,
and international organizations, to collaborate on accelerating Africa’s
digital integration.
As
an advisory body of the Smart Africa Alliance, CAR plays a critical role in
fostering an integrated African digital market through innovation,
cross-country cooperation, and the harmonization of public policies.

The
meeting aims to strengthen regulatory frameworks and advance collaborative
strategies that support Africa’s digital transformation agenda.
