The
Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT) has represented Nigeria
at the International Telecommunication Union Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R)
Working Party 4A meeting held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The
meeting focused on the development of technical methods and regulatory
provisions related to Geostationary Satellite Networks (GSO) and
Non-Geostationary Satellite Systems (Non-GSO) ahead of the World
Radiocommunication Conference scheduled for 2027 (WRC-27).
NIGCOMSAT’s
participation forms part of Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to contribute to global
satellite communication policy formulation while strengthening the country’s
engagement and influence within the international space and communications
ecosystem.
With
its active involvement in the process, NIGCOMSAT continues to advance Nigeria’s
visibility, expertise and leadership in shaping emerging regulatory frameworks
and new approaches to satellite operations at the global level.
