SENSAT
participated in the 19th General Assembly of the Agence Universitaire de la
Francophonie (AUF) held at the Grand Théâtre de Dakar, under the chairmanship
of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
During
the event, SENSAT Coordinator Prof. Gayane Faye briefed the Head of State on
the upcoming NINKI-NANKA Earth observation satellite constellation, a flagship
program being developed as part of Senegal’s long-term space vision.

The
NINKI-NANKA project forms a major component of the national transformation
strategy “Senegal 2050,” aimed at achieving technological sovereignty and
ensuring that Senegal can independently generate very high-resolution satellite
imagery.
According
to SENSAT, space capabilities are now considered strategic infrastructure that
will support national development, reinforce technological leadership, and
position Senegal competitively on the global stage.
