Conakry
has begun preparations to host the Transform Africa Summit 2025, which is
expected to be Africa’s largest event dedicated to Artificial Intelligence. The
summit, scheduled from November 12 to 14, 2025, will bring together leaders,
governments, innovators, universities and technology partners from across the
continent.
A
press conference and engagement cocktail with technical and financial partners,
along with members of the diplomatic corps, was held in Conakry to mark the
next stage of planning. Authorities emphasized that this year’s summit presents
a historic opportunity for Africa, and particularly French-speaking Africa, to
position itself strongly in the evolving global technology landscape.

The
summit is expected to focus on how AI is reshaping key sectors including
education, healthcare, public administration, business, and economic systems
across the continent. Organisers highlighted that while AI offers
transformational potential, it also introduces pressing policy and governance
challenges such as digital sovereignty, ethics, inclusion and employment.
Stakeholders
are urging broad participation from governments, private sector actors,
academia, startups, youth, women and innovators as preparations continue for
the November 2025 gathering aimed at strengthening Africa’s voice in the future
of AI development and deployment.
