Sierra Leone explores blockchain integration to enhance public service transparency

Minister of Communication, Technology and Innovation, Madam Salima Bah, has
received Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to China, Dr. Abubakarr Karim, and a
delegation of global blockchain experts from Sovereign Infrastructure for
Global Nations (S.I.G.N.).
The
visit underscores the government’s commitment to leveraging blockchain
technology to promote transparency, trust, and innovation across public service
delivery.
During
their engagement, discussions centered on how blockchain can be practically
applied to strengthen Sierra Leone’s digital ecosystem and support ongoing
efforts to build a secure, efficient, and citizen-focused digital governance
framework.
Over
the coming days, the delegation is expected to hold meetings with various
partners and stakeholders to explore collaborative pathways for implementing
blockchain-driven solutions in key sectors.
