South Africa hosted the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa
(ICASA) as part of its ongoing multi-stakeholder engagement programme,
reaffirming its commitment to collaborating with regulators, government, and
industry partners to advance the nation’s digital and economic development.

The
discussions, led by incoming MTN SA Deputy CEO Yolanda Cuba, Group Chief
Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer Nompilo Morafo, and members of MTN
SA’s executive leadership team, focused on key priorities including reducing
the cost to communicate, expanding investment in digital infrastructure, and
fostering greater inclusion through partnership.

MTN
emphasized that continued engagement with stakeholders is essential to building
a sustainable and inclusive telecommunications sector that ensures every South
African benefits from the opportunities of the digital future.
