The
Communications Regulatory Authority of
Namibia (CRAN) has commenced hosting the Regional Preparatory Workshop and Postal Committee
Meeting of the Communications
Regulators’ Association of Southern Africa (CRASA) in Windhoek.
The three-day event, running from October
27 to 29, brings together regional regulators, industry
stakeholders, partners, and development agencies to advance collaboration in
the postal sector.
In
a statement, CRAN highlighted the postal sector’s continued importance as a key driver of economic development,
facilitating trade, supporting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), and
promoting financial inclusion
through innovative logistics and digital platforms.
The
meeting aims to strengthen regional
cooperation and policy alignment to modernize postal services
across Southern Africa in line with evolving digital and economic landscapes.
