Africa’s Director of Digital Transformation and Services, Dr. Ralph Oyini
Mbouna represented the organization at the World Health Summit 2025 in
Berlin, where he joined a high-level dialogue on the future of digital health
between Africa and Europe.

The
discussions, held in collaboration with partners including Deutsche
Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Charité –
Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and other global institutions, explored how
Africa’s youthful and tech-driven population can drive the creation of a
connected and interoperable Africa Health Data Space.

Smart
Africa noted its commitment to leveraging digital innovation to strengthen
healthcare systems and data integration across the continent. The conversation
on advancing Africa’s digital health agenda is expected to continue at the
Transform Africa Summit 2025, scheduled to take place in Conakry, Guinea, from
12–14 November 2025.
