The Human Sciences Research
Council (HSRC) and the South African National Space Agency (SANSA) have signed
a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at deepening collaboration
in research, knowledge sharing, and capacity development.

The agreement, signed during
the #ERConference25, marks a significant step toward integrating social
science and space science research to support evidence-based policymaking and
national development goals.
The signing ceremony was led
by Prof. Sarah Mosoetsa (PhD), Chief Executive Officer of HSRC, and Mr.
Humbulani Mudau, Chief Executive Officer of SANSA.

Through this partnership,
both institutions aim to enhance South Africa’s research capacity, promote
innovation, and drive data-driven insights that contribute to sustainable
socio-economic growth and development.
