Partnership has announced the appointment of Patrick Masambu as a Senior
Advisor, marking a significant addition to the firm’s global connectivity and
satellite policy team.
Masambu,
a widely respected figure in international telecommunications, recently
concluded two consecutive terms as Director General of the International

served as a Commissioner on the UN Broadband Commission for Sustainable
Development, where he played a key role in advancing efforts to promote
inclusive digital access worldwide.
Before
his leadership at ITSO, Masambu made notable contributions as the founding
Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda Communications Commission, where he
oversaw major reforms in the country’s telecommunications and ICT sectors. His
extensive experience also includes collaborations with the International
Telecommunication Union (ITU), the African Telecommunications Union (ATU), and
the World Bank.
Access
Partnership described Masambu’s appointment as a strategic move to strengthen
its policy advisory capabilities across emerging and developed markets. The
firm noted that his broad network of regulators, multilateral institutions, and
industry leaders would support its mission to shape policies that foster
secure, reliable, and sustainable connectivity.
