MWC25 Kigali: MTN Rwanda showcases 5G innovation at MWC25 as CEO Ralph Mupita champions Africa’s digital future

The Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC25) opened to a full house of global technology and industry leaders, with MTN Rwanda taking center stage to demonstrate the transformative potential of 5G connectivity.

At the event, MTN Rwanda unveiled an interactive 5G experience featuring Hado AVR, Ray-Ban smart eyewear, gaming goggles, and other advanced digital innovations designed to showcase the speed, precision, and possibilities of next-generation networks. The exhibition attracted significant attention from participants eager to experience firsthand how 5G can power immersive technologies and digital lifestyles.

MTN Group President and Chief Executive Officer, Ralph Mupita, delivered a compelling keynote address focused on Africa’s digital transformation journey. He emphasized the importance of collaboration, sustained investment in digital infrastructure, and innovation-driven partnerships as the continent works to unlock inclusive economic growth through technology.

Mr. Mupita underscored that Africa’s digital future rests on shared responsibility and strategic action from both public and private sectors to ensure that no one is left behind in the connected world.
