The
Minister of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), Savannah Maziya, has appointed a
new Board of Directors for the Eswatini
Communications Commission (ESCCOM), effective 15 October 2025, for a term not
exceeding three years.
In
announcing the appointments, Minister Maziya called for a board “of integrity,
accountability and good standing,” urging the new members to demonstrate
forward-looking leadership that protects citizens, supports management, and
ensures strong oversight and advisory capacity.

The
newly appointed board is chaired by Mr.
E. Nathi Dlamini, Chief Executive Officer of Business Eswatini.
Other members include Mr. Joseph
Waring of Waring Attorneys and Mrs. Loncwala Mahlalela-Ziyane. They will serve
alongside Mr. Mvilawemphi Dlamini,
CEO of ESCCOM, Mr. Bheki Ndzinisa
from the Ministry of Finance, and Ms.
Bongiwe Dlamini from the Ministry of ICT.
Minister
Maziya also commended ESCCOM’s ongoing contributions to digital inclusion
through the Universal Access and
Service Fund (UASF), citing two recent national milestones: the
Disability Resource Centre at Ngwane
Teachers College, a fully equipped ICT classroom for students
with disabilities, and the UNESWA
Digital Content Studio, designed to foster innovation and local
content creation among youth.

Concluding
her remarks, the Minister encouraged the board to embrace their national
responsibility with dedication and vision, saying, “Let us give this
country what it deserves – and more than it deserves.”
