The
Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA) on Monday, October 13, 2025, welcomed a high-level
delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic
of China, led by Vice Minister Dr. Long Teng. The delegation was received by
Dr. Eng. Magid Ismail, CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency, at the agency’s
headquarters in Cairo.

The
visit, part of the long-standing strategic relations between Egypt and China,
aimed to deepen bilateral cooperation in the fields of space science and
technology. Discussions focused on ongoing joint space projects and new areas
of collaboration designed to enhance research, development, and innovation in
both countries.
Dr.
Magid Ismail underscored EgSA’s commitment to localizing space technology and
highlighted the partnership with China as a model of successful scientific and
technological cooperation between developing nations.
As
part of the visit, the Chinese delegation toured the Agency’s Satellite
Assembly, Integration, and Testing Center (AITC), a key national facility
supporting Egypt’s growing satellite development capabilities.

At
the conclusion of the visit, both sides exchanged commemorative gifts and
reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration and knowledge exchange
to strengthen space capabilities and promote sustainable development.
