Telecommunication Union (ITU) Secretary-General, Doreen Bogdan-Martin has addressed
the G20 South Africa Digital Economy Ministers meeting, emphasizing the
importance of building an inclusive digital economy.

Bogdan-Martin expressed
encouragement at the meeting’s outcomes, noting that they will support efforts
to create a digital economy that ensures no one is left behind and enables
people everywhere to benefit from digital opportunities.
She highlighted the role of
artificial intelligence, stressing its potential as a positive force in shaping
the digital future.

“As a G20 knowledge partner,
ITU remains committed to supporting the advancement of an inclusive and
sustainable digital economy,” Bogdan-Martin said.
