Djibouti’s Minister Delegate for the Digital Economy and Innovation, Mariam Hamadou Ali, and the Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, Moustapha Mohamed Mahamoud, have held a working meeting to strengthen collaboration between their departments.

The discussions highlighted the progress made by the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training in integrating digital tools into the education system, a move that aligns with the Djibouti Smart Nation roadmap.

Both ministers explored synergies between digital innovation, territorial inclusion, and academic excellence, with particular focus on developing digital skills for education. They also agreed to expand the SmartClass project into Djibouti’s interior regions to reduce the digital divide and enhance opportunities for young people.

The strengthened partnership is expected to promote entrepreneurship among students and support youth-led projects as part of Djibouti’s broader vision for a digitally empowered society.
