South Africa is stepping
into the spotlight at the 76th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in
Sydney, Australia, where the South African National Space Agency (SANSA) is
leading a national delegation to showcase the country’s growing space capabilities.
The team, headed by SANSA
Chief Executive Officer Dr. Humbulani Mudau, brings together SANSA experts,
government officials, industry leaders, and space stakeholders to demonstrate
South Africa’s technological advances and strategic ambitions in the sector.

Hosted by the International
Astronautical Federation and the Space Industry Association of Australia, IAC
2025 runs from 27 September to 3 October and is widely recognized as the
world’s premier space gathering.
South Africa’s exhibition at
Pavilion 275, Hall 2 highlights cutting-edge developments in satellite design,
data innovation, and space applications, while also offering opportunities for
international collaboration.
SANSA says the country’s
participation underlines its commitment to playing a stronger role in the
global space arena while advancing national priorities through science,
technology, and innovation.
