The African
Space Agency (AfSA) has participated in a high-level discussion with German
private sector leaders and the Global Perspectives Initiative at the
Baden-Badener Unternehmer Gespräche (BBUG), highlighting Africa’s strategic
role in the global space sector.

The dialogue
centered on the importance of African leadership in shaping the continent’s
future through space technology. President of the Africa Space Agency, Dr.
Tidiane Quattara in his remarks stated that space is not only about rockets but
also about applying technology to address development challenges, connect
communities, and drive sustainable growth. He then stressed the need to train
and skill African populations to take on leadership roles across various
industries.

Dr. Quattara
also announced its upcoming participation in the BDI World Space Congress in
Berlin on September 25, where it will speak on “Advancing Space Partnerships
