Ethiopian
Airlines has officially opened its newly upgraded passenger terminal and
support facilities at Wollo Kombolcha Airport, marking a significant
enhancement to the region's aviation infrastructure. The inauguration ceremony
was graced by Amhara Regional State President H.E. Arega Kebede and Ethiopian
Airlines Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew, alongside senior regional government
officials.

The €12 million
development features a modern passenger terminal, VIP lounge, and upgraded
support infrastructure designed to elevate the travel experience for passengers
using the Kombolcha route. This investment reflects Ethiopian Airlines'
commitment to expanding and modernizing domestic air travel facilities across
Ethiopia.
"The new
Kombolcha terminal demonstrates our dedication to providing world-class
aviation services throughout our network," stated CEO Mesfin Tasew during the opening ceremony. The enhanced
facilities will improve passenger comfort and operational efficiency for the
airline's growing domestic and regional services.

This
infrastructure development supports Ethiopia's broader transportation strategy,
improving connectivity for business and leisure travelers to the Amhara region
while reinforcing Ethiopian Airlines' position as Africa's leading aviation
group. The Kombolcha upgrade follows similar airport modernization projects
undertaken by the airline nationwide as part of its domestic expansion program.
