The Minister of
Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Amal Al-Falah Al-Seghrouchni has signed
a landmark tripartite agreement to create the Higher School of Engineers in
Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence. The signing ceremony, held
at SUPTECH Mohammedia, brought together HM King's Advisor André Azoulay,
President of the Foundation for Research, Development and Innovation in Science
and Engineering (FRDISI), and Minister of Higher Education Azzedine Midaoui.
This pioneering
institution will develop specialized engineering programs aligned with
Morocco's technological priorities and regional economic needs. The curriculum
will focus on applied AI solutions, digital transformation methodologies, and
cutting-edge research tailored to Morocco's industrial and public sector
requirements.

"The
school represents our commitment to building homegrown expertise that bridges
academic theory with practical digital solutions," stated Minister Al-Seghrouchni during the signing. The initiative
forms part of Morocco's comprehensive strategy to develop sovereign
capabilities in critical technologies while addressing the growing demand for
skilled AI professionals across Africa.
The FRDISI
board meeting also reviewed annual reports, approved new strategic
partnerships, and outlined 2025-2026 roadmaps to strengthen Morocco's
innovation ecosystem. By combining academic excellence with industry-specific
training, the engineering school aims to become a regional hub for digital
talent development and technological innovation.
This
development follows Morocco's recent launch of integrated energy-digital
infrastructure projects, further solidifying the Kingdom's position as Africa's
frontier for strategic technology investments. The school is expected to
welcome its first cohort of students in 2026, with admissions prioritizing both
technical excellence and diversity in Morocco's emerging tech workforce.
