The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Digital Industrial Park (DIP) in Kano, marking a significant milestone in the country's digital economy drive. The facility was officially commissioned by the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, during a ceremony attended by key government officials and tech stakeholders.

The event saw the participation of Kano State Deputy Governor Alhaji Aminu Gwarzo, representing Governor Abba Yusuf, and the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande. The park's establishment aligns with the federal government's strategy to foster innovation, digital entrepreneurship, and homegrown technological solutions across Nigeria.

Designed as a hub for research, development, and commercialization of ICT innovations, the DIP will provide Nigerian tech entrepreneurs with infrastructure and resources to transform ideas into viable products and services. The facility is expected to accelerate digital skills development, support startups, and create employment opportunities for youth in northern Nigeria.

Dr. Tijani emphasized the park's role in actualizing the Ministry's strategic blueprint for a vibrant digital economy, stating that such initiatives demonstrate the government's commitment to building innovation ecosystems beyond traditional tech hubs like Lagos.
