The facility, inaugurated by key stakeholders including the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy Dr. Bosun Tijani and NITDA Director General Kashifu Inuwa, represents a strategic leap in Nigeria's digital infrastructure development.

DG Inuwa hailed the project as a transformative milestone that aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly its focus on economic diversification through digitization, industrialization, and innovation. The Tier III certified data centre, one of Africa's most advanced provides enterprise-grade cloud services with 99.982% uptime, positioning Nigeria as a regional hub for secure data storage and processing. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by SSG Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, emphasized the facility's role in supporting the state's smart city ambitions and digital job creation.

MTN Nigeria CEO Karl Toriola noted the $100 million investment demonstrates the telecom giant's commitment to Nigeria's digital transformation, offering scalable solutions for businesses, government agencies, and startups. The launch comes as Nigeria implements its National Cloud Computing Policy to reduce dependence on foreign data infrastructure.

With its robust security features and energy-efficient design, the data centre is expected to drive financial inclusion, e-government services, and homegrown tech innovation while meeting the growing demand for local data hosting solutions across West Africa.
