The Center for Research, Information, Technology and Advanced Computing (CRITAC) has entered into a strategic partnership with Dominion University College (DUC). The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to drive innovation, research, and skills development in critical fields such as Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and emerging technologies.

Led by renowned global expert Professor Kester Quist-Aphetsi, Chair of the National Cyber Intelligence and Cyber Defense Research Project, CRITAC will work closely with DUC to enhance curriculum development, facilitate professional mentorship, and foster industry-aligned research initiatives. The partnership will also provide students with access to CRITAC’s international network, including opportunities for research abroad and hands-on training in cutting-edge technologies.

Key focus areas of the collaboration include the accreditation of computing programs, joint research projects, workshops, and conferences aimed at advancing Ghana’s digital transformation agenda. Students enrolling in PhD, Master’s, and first-degree programs from September 2025 will benefit from CRITAC-DUC’s industry-linked labs, ensuring employable skills and global competitiveness.

Certificates for all programs under this initiative will be awarded by the University of Cape Coast, guaranteeing full accreditation and academic rigor. This partnership underscores a shared commitment to nurturing the next generation of computational leaders and positioning Ghana as a hub for technological innovation in Africa.
