Algeria hosts second Algerian-Korean cybersecurity forum

Algeria's Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki has inaugurated the Second Algerian-Korean Cybersecurity Forum. The event, organized in partnership with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), underscores Algeria's commitment to developing a robust cybersecurity framework amid rapid digital transformation.

 

Held under the strategic vision of the Algerian Presidency, the forum brings together cybersecurity experts, policymakers, and industry leaders from both nations to exchange knowledge and enhance capabilities in protecting critical digital infrastructure. Minister Zerrouki emphasized that the collaboration with Korea aligns with Algeria's national priorities to safeguard its cyberspace while advancing technological progress. 

The partnership reflects Algeria's ongoing investments in high-speed digital infrastructure and its focus on securing these systems against evolving cyber threats. Discussions at the forum cover critical areas such as threat intelligence sharing, public-private collaboration, and workforce development in cybersecurity – all essential to protecting Algeria's digital sovereignty. 

Korean delegates shared cutting-edge practices in cyber defense, building on the two countries' growing cooperation in technology and innovation. The forum also highlights Algeria's proactive approach to international partnerships that combine knowledge transfer with local capacity building.
