Ghana's cyber security chief joins Global Cyber Capacity building summit

The Director General of Ghana's Cyber Security Authority, Divine Selase Agbeti, is participating in the ongoing Global Conference on Cyber Capacity Building, joining an assembly of international cybersecurity leaders and policymakers. The conference brings together senior government officials, United Nations representatives, and private sector executives to address critical challenges in global cyber resilience. 

Mr. Agbeti's involvement reinforces Ghana's active role in international cybersecurity cooperation. His participation follows Ghana's recent advancements in cyber governance, including the operationalization of its Computer Emergency Response Team and the implementation of comprehensive cybersecurity legislation. The conference provides a platform for sharing Ghana's experiences in building institutional cyber capabilities while learning from global best practices. 

Discussions at the high-level forum focus on developing technical competencies, enhancing cross-border collaboration, and establishing frameworks for secure digital transformation. The event highlights the growing importance of multilateral approaches to addressing cyber threats that transcend national boundaries. Ghana's engagement in these deliberations underscores the country's commitment to contributing African perspectives to global cybersecurity governance while strengthening its own cyber defense infrastructure.
