The Senegalese
government officially unveiled the JUBBANTI digital platform enables citizens
both in Senegal and abroad to actively participate in the upcoming National
Dialogue on the Political System, scheduled for May 28, 2025, under the
leadership of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
Designed to
foster transparency and inclusiveness, JUBBANTI serves as a centralized hub
where users can access the Terms of Reference (ToR) outlining the objectives
and framework of the National Dialogue. The platform addresses key questions
about the purpose of reforming the political system and the challenges facing
Senegal, ensuring citizens are well-informed before contributing their
perspectives.
A standout
feature of JUBBANTI is its participatory function, allowing individuals to
submit proposals and ideas directly. This approach aligns with President Faye's
commitment to open governance and civic engagement, ensuring diverse voices
shape the national conversation.
The launch of
the platform marks a significant step toward democratizing policy discussions
in Senegal, empowering citizens to play an active role in shaping the country's
political future. By leveraging digital tools, the government aims to bridge
gaps between leaders and the public, reinforcing democratic values and
collective decision-making.
