CAMTEL, the
nation's leading telecommunications provider, has entered into a comprehensive
Framework Agreement with the Ministry of Public Health (MINSANTE). The
partnership, formalized in Yaoundé, will see CAMTEL deliver cutting-edge
telecommunications solutions to enhance the efficiency and security of
healthcare services across the country.

Under the
agreement, CAMTEL will provide MINSANTE with secure and redundant internet
connections, high-speed interlinking services, advanced data security
solutions, and access to state-of-the-art data center facilities. These
services are designed to support the Ministry's digital transformation agenda,
ensuring reliable connectivity for critical health information systems and
improving access to medical data nationwide.
Speaking at the
signing ceremony, CAMTEL's General Manager, Mrs. Judith Yah Sunday Achidi,
emphasized the transformative potential of the collaboration. "This
partnership extends far beyond conventional telecom services," she
stated. "We are deploying our technical expertise and robust
infrastructure to address the unique challenges of Cameroon's public health
sector, enabling innovative solutions that will enhance healthcare delivery and
patient outcomes."

The
CAMTEL-MINSANTE alliance aligns with the government's broader vision of
leveraging digital technology to modernize public services. By integrating
secure, high-speed connectivity into health facilities, the initiative aims to
streamline medical data management, facilitate telemedicine services, and
strengthen the resilience of healthcare networks against disruptions.
This agreement
underscores CAMTEL's commitment to supporting Cameroon's public institutions in
their digital evolution, reinforcing its role as a key enabler of the nation's
socio-economic development.
