Morocco’s
digital transformation ambitions gained momentum as the Ministry of Digital
Transition and Administration Reform signed a strategic Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) with Nokia on the sidelines of GITEX AFRICA 2025. The
agreement, inked by Minister Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni and Nokia’s Vice
President for North, West, and Central Africa Pierre Chaume, focuses on
cultivating Moroccan tech talent and enhancing digital infrastructure.

The partnership
will establish internationally recognized certification programs in
telecommunications and IT, equipping young professionals with cutting-edge
skills aligned with global industry standards. Nokia will also support
Morocco’s flagship tech events to elevate digital engagement and innovation
showcases.
This
collaboration builds on Nokia’s growing footprint in Morocco, including its
Innovation Center launched in 2023 and reinforced during Minister Seghrouchni’s
visit to Nokia’s Finland headquarters earlier this year. The MoU underscores
Morocco’s strategy to position itself as a regional hub for digital talent and
next-generation connectivity solutions.
