Airtel
Networks Zambia has taken a step towards bridging the gender gap in the ICT
sector by partnering with Infratel to host an ICT bootcamp for 50 girls from
various schools in Lusaka. The bootcamp, led by senior Airtel staff, aimed to
inspire and empower young girls to pursue careers in telecommunications and
ICT.

This
initiative demonstrates Airtel's commitment to impacting young minds and
developing budding talents in the ICT sector. By providing a platform for girls
to learn and grow, Airtel is helping to address the gender imbalance that
exists in the industry.
During
the bootcamp, the girls had the opportunity to engage with experienced
professionals in the field, gaining valuable insights and skills in ICT. The
interactive sessions and hands-on activities were designed to spark their
interest and passion for technology, encouraging them to consider careers in
this exciting and rapidly evolving sector.

According
to officials, by investing in their future, Airtel is helping to create a more
inclusive and diverse ICT industry, where everyone has the opportunity to
succeed. As the ICT sector continues to grow and shape our world, it is
essential that we inspire and empower young girls to be part of it.
