Senegal’s Minister of
Telecommunications and Digital Affairs, Samba Diouf, has held discussions with
representatives of two postal workers’ unions as part of ongoing consultations
aimed at supporting the revival of La Poste.
The Minister received
delegations from SYNAPOSTE and SNTP in a joint audience on Monday, November 2,
2026. The delegations were led by their respective Secretaries General,
Ibrahima Faye and Hamed Diouf.
The meeting provided an
opportunity to review strategic directions under consideration for the postal
institution, including the continuation of structural measures and the digital
modernisation of its services.
During the discussions,
Diouf recalled the Government's sustained attention to the continuation of
structural measures aimed at supporting La Poste.
The Minister also listened
to proposals from the union representatives and reaffirmed his availability to
support initiatives aimed at building a resilient postal institution anchored
in the national digital ecosystem.
