A locally developed digital
platform, Hatch Platform, is exploring opportunities to help Namibian content
creators monetise their content and generate income through digital media.
The platform was presented
to Namibia’s Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Hon. Emma
Theofelus, on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, by the Hatch team, which sought to
showcase its capabilities and explore potential areas of collaboration.
Developed by Ngakuzevi
Investment CC, Hatch Platform integrates live streaming with advertising and
sponsorship opportunities, allowing content creators to earn revenue from their
audiences.
The platform also offers
other digital services, including event discovery and an online marketplace for
businesses and service providers.
According to the Ministry of
Information and Communication Technology (MICT), the initiative presents a
potential opportunity to strengthen Namibia’s digital content ecosystem by
creating new avenues for content monetisation, supporting local entrepreneurship
and enabling businesses to connect with audiences through digital platforms.
The Hatch team is seeking
support and partnerships to further develop and expand the platform’s reach.
The initiative comes as
Namibia explores opportunities to expand its digital and creative industries
and create more avenues for local content creators and businesses to
participate in the digital economy.
