The Universal Postal Union
(UPU) Postal Forum has explored how artificial intelligence (AI) can help
postal operators turn network visibility, operational data and institutional
knowledge into better decisions, stronger operations and improved customer service.
The second panel at the
forum discussed the conditions needed to make this possible, including data
quality, interoperability, workforce capability and the responsible use of AI.
The discussions highlighted
the role of AI in helping postal operators make better use of data and
knowledge to improve visibility, reliability and trust across postal networks.
“AI does not replace postal
expertise but rather, it strengthens it,” the UPU said, noting that the
technology can help Posts improve their operations and ultimately create
greater value for customers and operators.
