Foundation has concluded its campaign to provide 66,000 exercise books and
11,000 pens to students in need across different parts of Ethiopia during the
past summer months, the foundation said.
More than 5,500 students
have been supported to start the new academic year with essential educational
materials.
The materials were
distributed to schools and students in Maryam Wale and Seleklika in Tigray;
Woldiya in the Northeast Region; and Bahir Dar and Gondar in the Northwest
Region.
Others were distributed in
Semera, Teru, Mebay and Gereni in the Afar Region; Adama, Bale Robe, Ginir and
Arsi Negele in the Central Region; and Sawla and Wolaita Sodo in the Southern
Region.
Schools and students in
Jimma, Ambo, Woliso, Nedda, Metu and Metti in the Western Region, Dire Dawa and
Harar in Eastern Region One, and Fiq and surrounding districts in Eastern
Region Two also received support.
The foundation extended its
heartfelt appreciation to regional education bureau officials, district and
city administration leaders, and school principals across the country, whose
collaboration helped ensure that the support reached students who needed it
most.
