The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) has selected 80 workshops for its 21st Annual Meeting, scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 14 to 18 December 2026.

The selected workshops will form a central part of the substantive programme of the annual meeting, providing platforms for experts and participants to examine specific internet governance issues and engage in multistakeholder discussions.

According to the IGF, each workshop proposal was evaluated through a competitive process by the IGF Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG), whose members represent perspectives from different stakeholder groups and regions.

The selected workshops cover five thematic areas: Economy, Innovation and Sustainability; Governance, Cooperation and Institutions; Infrastructure, Access and Technical Foundations; Rights, Inclusion and Human Development; and Trust, Safety and Information Integrity.

The workshops are expected to provide opportunities for participants to explore emerging internet governance challenges, exchange perspectives and contribute to discussions involving stakeholders from across regions and sectors.

The IGF expressed appreciation to the MAG for its work in evaluating the submissions and thanked all those who submitted proposals for the 2026 programme.
