Staff representatives at
Cameroon Telecommunications (CAMTEL) have reaffirmed their support for the
company’s management while calling for continued improvements in working
conditions and employee welfare.
CAMTEL General Manager Judith Yah Sunday wife Achidi received the Staff Delegates during a meeting that provided an opportunity to review recent company
performance and discuss the working environment.
The Staff Delegates
expressed satisfaction with a number of positive developments recorded by the
company, including CAMTEL’s first-place ranking in the first category of public
companies and the renewal of its ISO 9001:2015 Cycle 3 certification for the
Transport segment.
They also commended
management for maintaining regular salary payments, including the payment of
the thirteenth month, as well as efforts to improve working conditions.
The staff representatives
reiterated their commitment to supporting Top Management in carrying out its
mandate, while stressing the importance of dialogue, responsibility and
collaboration in strengthening the company.
They also submitted
proposals and suggestions aimed at improving the working climate and employee
well-being.
Welcoming the feedback and
proposals, General Manager Judith Yah Sunday Achidi reaffirmed her commitment
to the continuous improvement of employees’ working conditions while
maintaining CAMTEL’s performance and improving service delivery to customers.
The meeting followed
CAMTEL’s traditional flag-raising ceremony, during which employees renewed
their commitment to ethical, responsible and professional conduct, adherence to
the company’s rules and values, and contributing through the quality of their work
to a more efficient CAMTEL.
