Morocco
and the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) have discussed opportunities to
deepen cooperation in digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI)
during a bilateral meeting held on the sidelines of the United Nations Global
Dialogue on AI Governance in Geneva.
The
meeting brought together Morocco’s Minister Delegate in charge of Digital
Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal El Fallah-Seghrouchni, and DCO
Secretary-General Deemah AlYahya.
The
discussions focused on preparations for the upcoming DCO General Assembly and
prospects for strengthening collaboration between the Kingdom of Morocco and
the organisation in advancing digital development initiatives.
During
the engagement, AlYahya highlighted Morocco’s progress in digital
transformation, describing the country’s experience as a “success story” that
the DCO aims to showcase among its member states as a model for sharing
knowledge, expertise and best practices.
The
two sides also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation among
African and Arab countries, particularly through the D4SD Hub, a platform
designed to support collaboration and the development of inclusive digital and
artificial intelligence solutions.
