The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has undertaken a benchmarking visit to the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) to strengthen collaboration and improve public communication strategies between the two regulatory bodies.

The engagement brought together communications teams from both institutions to share experiences and explore approaches to simplifying complex regulatory information for public understanding.

Both regulators noted that a key shared challenge is translating technical and sector-specific information into clear, accessible messages for all Namibians.

NAMFISA highlighted its approach to consumer financial education, while CRAN shared its efforts to simplify technical communications within the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors.

The session provided an opportunity for both teams to exchange best practices and identify potential areas for future collaboration aimed at improving public awareness and engagement.

CRAN expressed appreciation to NAMFISA for the engagement and noted that the discussions contribute to ongoing efforts to enhance transparency, accessibility, and effectiveness in regulatory communication.
