The National Space Science
and Technology Center participated in the first Satellite Networks Coordination
Meeting between the administrations of the Republic of Korea and the United
Arab Emirates, reinforcing efforts to enhance cooperation in satellite communications
and spectrum management.
The meeting was hosted by
South Korea’s National Radio Research Agency and the Korea Communications
Agency (KCA), bringing together experts and officials from both countries to
discuss issues related to satellite network coordination and technical collaboration.
Participants exchanged views
on the management and coordination of satellite networks, with discussions
focused on improving cooperation in areas critical to the efficient use of
satellite communications infrastructure and radio frequency spectrum resources.
The engagement provided a
platform for both sides to strengthen technical partnerships and explore
opportunities for continued collaboration in the rapidly evolving space
communications sector.
Officials highlighted the
importance of effective satellite network coordination in supporting reliable
communications services, enhancing connectivity, and ensuring the sustainable
use of spectrum resources amid growing global demand for satellite-based
technologies.
The meeting also underscored
the value of international cooperation in addressing technical and regulatory
challenges associated with satellite operations and spectrum management.
The National Space Science
and Technology Center noted that participation in the discussions aligns with
broader efforts to expand international partnerships and support the
development of advanced space and communications capabilities.
Both countries expressed
their commitment to maintaining ongoing dialogue and technical cooperation to
support innovation and strengthen collaboration in satellite communications and
related technologies.
