The
Kenya School of Government and the Tanzania Public Service College have signed
a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing institutional capacity,
leadership development, and regional cooperation in public service delivery.
The
agreement was formalised at State House Dar es Salaam by Prof. Nura Mohamed,
Director General of the Kenya School of Government, and Dr. Ernest Mabonesho,
Rector of the Tanzania Public Service College. The signing took place in the
presence of William Ruto and Samia Suluhu Hassan.

The
partnership is designed to promote collaboration between the two institutions
through joint training programmes, faculty exchanges, and policy research
initiatives. It also seeks to strengthen the capacity of public sector
institutions by fostering leadership excellence and encouraging continuous
professional development.
Officials
indicated that the agreement reflects a shared commitment to building agile,
knowledge-driven public institutions capable of responding effectively to
evolving governance challenges. The MoU is also expected to support regional
integration by facilitating peer learning and the exchange of best practices
across borders.

The
collaboration is positioned as part of broader efforts to improve the
efficiency, professionalism, and responsiveness of public service systems,
while contributing to socio-economic development in both countries.
