Kenya has been
re-elected to the Postal Operations Council (POC) of the Universal Postal Union
(UPU) with 127 votes during the ongoing UPU Congress in Dubai. The election
secures one of the 11 African slots in the 48-member global body responsible
for setting international postal standards.

Cabinet
Secretary for Information, Communications & The Digital Economy, William
Kabogo, announced the achievement, highlighting Kenya's continued leadership in
advancing inclusive and modern postal and courier services worldwide. The
re-election affirms Kenya's influential role in shaping global postal policies
and standards.

The Postal
Operations Council plays a critical role in overseeing technical and
operational aspects of international postal services, ensuring efficiency,
security, and innovation in global postal systems.
