Guinea engages UPU Director General to promote postal sector modernization

On the sidelines of the 28th Universal Postal Union (UPU) Congress in Dubai, a high-level meeting was held between Guinea’s Minister of Posts, Telecommunications, and the Digital Economy, Rose Pola Pricemou, and Mr. Masahiko Metoki, Director General of the UPU, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

The discussions focused on Guinea’s commitments to modernizing and inclusive development of its postal sector. Key points included the need for UPU support in national postal reforms and Guinea’s ambition to play a central role in regional postal transformation through innovation, digitalization, and enhanced cooperation.

This engagement enhances the Guinean government’s dedication to strengthening international partnerships and positioning the country as a key contributor to the global postal community.
