The United
Nations Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies will host the UN Digital
Cooperation Day 2025, convening global leaders to address critical issues in
inclusive digital economies, AI governance, and public infrastructure. Among
the distinguished speakers is Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, Minister for Communication,
Innovation and Digital Economy of Nigeria, who will contribute to high-level
dialogues shaping the future of digital cooperation.
The event will
feature discussions on inclusive digital economy strategies, universal digital
public infrastructure safeguards, responsible AI governance through
international standards, and the role of private sector innovation in driving
inclusive growth. Minister Tijani’s participation underscores Nigeria’s
commitment to advancing digital transformation and leveraging technology for
sustainable development.
The forum will
also review progress since the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS)
and explore next steps for global digital cooperation, with insights from
