Nigeria’s Digital Economy Minister to lead key discussions at UN Digital Cooperation Day 2025

The United Nations Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies will host the UN Digital Cooperation Day 2025, convening global leaders to address critical issues in inclusive digital economies, AI governance, and public infrastructure. Among the distinguished speakers is Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, Minister for Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy of Nigeria, who will contribute to high-level dialogues shaping the future of digital cooperation.

The event will feature discussions on inclusive digital economy strategies, universal digital public infrastructure safeguards, responsible AI governance through international standards, and the role of private sector innovation in driving inclusive growth. Minister Tijani’s participation underscores Nigeria’s commitment to advancing digital transformation and leveraging technology for sustainable development.

The forum will also review progress since the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) and explore next steps for global digital cooperation, with insights from government, multilateral institutions, and private sector leaders.
