The Rwanda
Space Agency (RSA) and the African Risk Capacity (ARC) Group have formalized a
strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed today by RSA
CEO Gaspard Twagirayezu and ARC Group Director General Dr. Jean Chrysostome
Ngabitsinze.

The agreement
establishes a framework for technical collaboration, capacity building, and the
development of advanced early warning tools to strengthen climate resilience
and disaster risk management across Africa. Rwanda’s GeoHub—a centralized
geospatial data platform—will serve as a core component in translating this
partnership into practical, actionable solutions.
This
collaboration deepens both institutions’ commitment to leveraging space
technology and data-driven innovations to mitigate climate-related risks and
support sustainable development on the continent.
